Whale IT Recycling is WEEELABEX-certified, has its own hard drive shredder, and offers certified solutions for wiping hard drives, SSDs, and smartphones.
What is ITAD?
ITAD stands for IT Asset Disposition, which is the entire process of safely and sustainably disposing of old, outdated IT hardware. At Whale IT, our mission is to offer comprehensive services in this area to make the entire experience worry-free. This means we ensure our clients:
- Receive the highest residual value
- Process IT in the most sustainable way
- Guarantee data security
- Handle all logistics for collection

Free valuation
Take advantage of our free valuation. Based on a list you provide, we will give a free valuation of your old IT hardware within 48 hours. You can submit the information yourself or use our inventory form. The better your hardware is described, the higher our offer. Want a quick indicative price? Send some photos of the hardware and specify the quantities you want to sell.

Hardware buyback
Whale Recycling buys a wide range of old IT hardware. We are especially interested in:
- Laptops
- Computers
- Servers and network equipment
- Smartphones and tablets
- Individual parts, such as hard drives, RAM, and CPU.
If the hardware is less than 8 years old, complete, and in working condition, it is likely eligible for reuse. Older or defective equipment is purchased for recycling, allowing valuable raw materials to be recovered.
Pickup service
Once we agree on the valuation, we’ll schedule a pickup. We do this with our own transport means and trusted partners to guarantee secure logistics. Our team brings all necessary materials to package the equipment on-site.
Workplace dismantling
Need old hardware removed directly from workstations? No problem! Our team can disconnect and remove old equipment and even take care of disposing of old office furniture if needed.

Report
Upon arrival, all hardware is registered and thoroughly checked for functionality. We then wipe all data securely. Every processed device is recorded in a report. Once everything is completed, you will receive a data destruction certificate, a detailed report of the delivered hardware, and a purchase invoice, which will be paid within a few days.
Certificate of Responsible Processing
When Whale IT processes your old IT hardware, you will receive a Certificate of Responsible Processing. This document confirms that your company has disposed of IT assets sustainably and correctly through a certified provider.
